Since the sermon was impromptu I will highlight the points
remembered.
God's greatest commandment is to love one another
as He demonstrated through Christ.
Pity and condemn the behavior, but always love the person.
Remember God gave everyone specific talents which are used to
Glorify God and not the self. God will reward if his gifts to
us are not buried.
God sacrificed His only begotten Son on the Cross to accept
our sins, and promise us eternal life in His Kingdom
We must put God first. We insure our homes, automobiles,
life, health, etc. , but we must ask ourselves if we have
insured our souls.
God's insurance does not require financial resources. It
requires commitment to follow His ways expressed and
demonstrated through Christ .
That is how we ensure our precious soul, because our destiny
as Orthodox Christians is to emulate Him.
God has given us free will to accept or reject. If we reject
He will still pursue us. If we accept He will praise us as we
have glorified Him.
If we insure our soul our premium will be paid in full when
God accepts us in His Kingdom
For those who do not believe that the universe was not
created by God, let them read what scientist have to say about
how logical and orderly our cosmos is. In the Old Covenant, God
can reveal His Creation in days because people would not be able
to comprehend scientific principles.
God allows scientists to comprehend how the universe may have
become into existence by the Big Bang theory, and the resulting
expansion of the cosmos.
I think God wants this kind of relationship, though we can
not truly be certain. The only thing comprehensible about God is
His incomprehensibilty.
We are a human species created in the image and likeness of
God, and hve progressed to where we are today, because of His
Divine plan.
Insure your soul for that is what survives and worth
protecting.
I enjoy serving with the faithful people of the mission
church. You are all kind to me. I feel the loving and positive
feeling.
May God continue to bless all of you.
In Christ's love,
Fr. Michael Soter
